Why chances for any group size are equal now (in English)

Dear fellow Fusionistas,

Since most communication on this forum is in German, yet a growing group of non-German speakers might be interested in keeping up with the information around, I hereby solely repost some possible interesting information from this forum, further explained in English.

After quite some discussion here, on what could give best chances to gain "the greatest possible equality of opportunity", to 'win' a chance for buying a ticket for Fusion Festival 2012, the Fusion Crew announced to change the lottery system to the proposed solution by grandchild.

Therefore, now every group - no matter which size it has - will have as equal chances as possible, to 'win' in the lottery!

And for those still curious to see the even bigger picture behind this all, it doesn't seem to be coincidence that the Burning Man Project announced a similar new setup for selling the tickets for 2012, via a lottery system, even on the same date; 11-11-2011.

You do realize that this issue has been resolved and in a follow-up newsletter the Fusion crew announced they would be using my proposed solution?
So by now everyone should have the same chance of winning no matter what the group size!
