John Maus at Fusion wtf? (Trump supporter and donor, jan 6 riot attendee)

Can someone please explain to me why John Maus is performing at Fusion today? He is on the record as donating to Donald Trump's campaign. He also attended the January 6 riots w his highly problematic buddy ariel pink.
Does anyone care? Please clarify

He was in Washington DC the same day to meet up with a film director about scoring a future project, this director was present to document the rally and invited him for a meeting. John ’s political beliefs are well documented as being left of left and needless to say he does not support hateful or divisive causes. John does not support Donald Trump. Also, John recently donated performance fees to Hope Not Hate and the Trevor Project.“

This was insane! Could someone figure out what this guy was doing there????

However, I followed the case back then and he was def supporting trump. He and Ariel even openly admitted to it in interviews.But idk why? Maybe it had sth to do with the tariffs? Also, maybe he changed his positions in the meantime. It's possible.
