Driving on the Camping

Beitrag von kinneke4 »

Hi!
We are a group of friends arriving at Fusion at different times. How easy / hard is it for the first group, arriving wednesday morning to set up camp and the ones arriving wednesday evening to drive to that spot on the camping and join them? How does the alocation of camping work?

Cheers!

most likely wont be possible.

read this newsletter: https://fusion-festival.de/en/news/news ... ember-2024 and go to arrival and traffic jam 2024

"We will no longer tolerate such behavior in the future. If you want to camp in a group with more tha one vehicle, you must arrive as a group together. Waiting for latecomers in the middle of our camping paths is a NO-GO - just like generously blocking off areas for latecomers. In 2025, we will handle the guidance to camping areas more stringently. So organize yourselves in advance. Leave together or meet well beforehand on the way!"

i would recommend to put all tents in the car that's arriving in the morning and the people that arrive in the evening need to park at the parking space and can join the group which set up the camp in the meantime

Hi,

your friends arriving later may not be able to reach the camp by car and the best would be if the first group got all tents to set up the camp.

Camping allocation is first come, first serve. Some areas at the outskirts are only opened later on wednesday or early on thursday.

Traffic on the camping area on wednesday is chaotic and annoying. It can take forever to move in some areas.

At some point, the camping will be closed for additional cars and you can only leave, but not come back.

Cars will then be directed towards the tarmac. There is enough parking space there for everyone. Its really close to the camping area, maybe 20-30 minutes by foot to the furthest camping spot possible. 2 minutes to the closest one.

If you absolutely need to have both cars with your tents, your first team should try to find a spot in areas D, E, or F.

F is also where the big caravans can go with their XL camper tickets. All other large vehicles(>6.5m) need to park on the tarmac.

If the late arrivals are fine with having their car on the tarmac, you should be able to reserve space for a few tents in B, or C. But don't expect to be able to reserve space for a large camp. It's easier to put all tents in the first car if you absolutely need to camp together.

A, G, and H are car free.

I've never camped at insel, so I can't really tell you how that part works. You need a special car ticket to get there.
