Meine Vorfreude steigt seit den ersten Line Up leaks jeden Tag ein bisschen mehr.
In ein paar Tagen beginnt dann der Equipment Check, Die Packliste und die sonstigen Erledigungen, dann wird aus der Vorfreude so langsam das berühmte "Lärzklopfen"

Am Meisten Freu ich mich auf die vielen tollen Menschen, das Gefühl von Freiheit in einem Save Space ohne Job,Staat,Hass oder Angst. Ich werde die Stimmung wiedermal aufsaugen und mich von ihr den rest des Sommers tragen lassen.

Tanzen,Lichter,Freunde,Deko,Sektfrühstück im Morgengrauen, Gespräche und Gelächter, neues Entdecken und Bewährtes genießen. Hach watt schön...

All of what DripDrap and _failure_ mention (the latter so well worded!), but also:

-- the camping in and of itself (I've pieced together a pretty neat and smart little "home away from home" by now),

-- people watching -- the imagination, attention, and often great humor, put into their outfits (and how they end up eventually!) always brings me enormous pleasure

-- that "treasure hunting" of meeting up with and/or coming across the people I've connected with through here, and made plans or agreements with (even just for a simple hello)

-- for the 1st time offering a few hours of support; something I've wanted to do for several years now

-- all our masks coming off more and more by each day, stripping us of most everything other than our pure and unadulterated joy about being at Fusion, and sharing that experience

-- this year's "lesson": Each time, I've found there's a deeper takeaway from the festival.

Auf Live-Musik! Ich gehöre zu den eher Wenigen, die für die Bands und nicht für die DJs kommen. Vier Tage lang entspannt und neugierig die Bühnen ablaufen und wissen: Wenn mir dieser Act nicht zusagt, brauche ich nur Minuten bis zum nächsten. Und wie jedes Mal werden einige davon für immer auf meinem Radar bleiben.

Just out of curiosity, if you are willing to share: What were your lessons of the last years?

Why not? -- an opportunity to refer #5:idea:

2016: I could handle this, so damn well can handle also xyz -- and love camping (went there alone, never having tented before; basically let go of control and survived just fine. A personal achievement for me).

2018: "It's all about surfing with amigos."

2019: Magic is real. But maybe we're not supposed to try and hang on to it.

2022: Daring to go beyond our comfort zone can be very rewarding, and attending Fusion doesn't by far warrant a certain level of maturity, or being a stand-up individual.

2023: A hands-on exercise in coming across as always having everything together, people don't think we ever need anything ... and sometimes we must voice it (thank you, Y!)
Plus in relation to sharing this almost most loved aspect I mentioned,

the person I said it to answered: "Exactly -- why be ashamed?" That stuck.

All of these lessons have made themselves known over and over again, at times when I needed one or the other. Still do, and I do my best to apply them. I think the energy at Fusion is really special, and that there are takeaways for each of us to be had there, if we're open to them. Eager to see what Fusion 2024 brings.

Profound! I mostly learned what things about festivals I like and don't like, and how much better I like Fusion than other festivals - so much of the annoying stuff that's present in other festivals just isn't there at fusion (read: great people, very little commercial pressure, relaxed staff/supporters)


Um noch die Ausgangsfrage zu beantworten: Ich freue mich am meisten darauf, vor lauter Möglichkeiten nicht zu wissen was ich tun möchte, um dann ziellos über das Gelände zu schlendern und schlussendlich einfach nur die Atmosphäre zu geniessen und eigentlich gar nichts wirklich zu tun

ich freue mich auf treiben lassen, nach Bedürfnissen leben, mit und ohne Menschen sein. Und ein wichtiger Faktor für mich, mich als Frau Safe zu fühlen und nicht objektifiziert zu werden. Anziehen, was ich mag, mich bewegen, wie ich es fühle. Komme von der Fusion mit einem super schönen Körpergefühl zurück. Das es nirgends Kanzkörperspiegel gibt, hilft auch sehr.
