@Kudrun
Bahaha, high 5 to that!
Aaah -- there I'm with you! So you do a hotel night stopover on the way, am I getting it right? Very good choice, in that case.
Okie. Anytime. And not sure, mine is a local (maybe they all are?) and even has a network of others collaborating with him. Big business, apparently. I would guess they have been asked by supporters to drive earlier on some occasion before?
For sure! I always check the local "agrarwetter" page almost maniacally the 10 days before. Also always have said that, in case it looks too bad, I will cancel my trip. Now ... not sure. It's Fusion, after all.<3 But I mean, this would be an absolute nightmare:

Uff. Not good. And you didn't get sick? I'd be sick in 2 days. At least you got that lesson ingrained now ...
No no, I've always brought a small village. I'm a small village kind of person, alas. Might as well embrace it, right?
I'm also volunteering some of my time this year, btw. Have a 75 % disability pension, so the full supporter package isn't an option. But it's not like I'm incompetent or anything; my stamina just is a bit lower, to put it simply. Still want to somehow give back a bit, so asked if it would be possible but under my own conditions, and got a yes and where to go. Very much looking fwd to that.
