Hello everyone!

Yet another day on my search! I sent out 2 Messages inquiring about 3 Tickets in total, unfortunately I did not recieve any replies .
One of them was in the Forum, the other on Telegram. The part I struggle with the most is seeing so many people ask, but ultimately not seeing who ended up getting the ticket. I saw someone asking if a Ticket offer was even real. Honestly, I felt where they were coming from. Seeing all the people trying to aquire Tickets but never seeing anyone getting one makes it seem like there were never any Tickets to begin with .

But I know this is not true! I just have to stay focused and determined .

Something else that was very interesting happened yesterday. I saw a post on reddit about a BiPOC Fusion group and decided to connect with the people in the post. Being black myself, I felt it was nice knowing there was gonna be people with a similar background at fusion. It's hard always being the only black person in most spaces I enter, so it was nice seeing that I wasn't gonna be alone. They ended up adding me into a Telegram group - one of them is even willing to help on my search . This meant a lot to me!

My hope for finding a Ticket is definitely looking up. I am meeting more and more kind people on this search, I'm really feeling the fusion spirit .

Let's see what the future holds on my search! I have 20 Days to go... We'll make it !

Hey everyone,

As for day 8 there’s really not a lot to report, I sent out a few messages, but nothing came of it. Sometimes I feel bad for all these people I’m sending messages to, I feel it looks so selfish. But I try to make the interaction about more than just the Ticket, I wanna try and actually get to know the people. I don’t want it to be just transactional.

I was also stuck at work all day so I was also struggling to even check for anything. How is it for you guys? How do you balance the search with everyday life?

Happy Sunday!

We are now 9 days into the search… I wonder how long it takes people on average to find a ticket . I still see no progress. But I do a lot of research. Mathematically, the likelihood of finding one really should not be that low - at least for people that are willing to wait. Fusion is fast approaching, but I know a lot of people get their tickets even just a few days before the festival… so I will stay determined !

A lot kinda rides on this working out… my friend and I have already put in Vacation time for the duration of the festival… yet we still have no tickets . We’re feeling extra brave about this, but I feel that is what makes this all so fun. It keeps the drive up. Not finding a ticket doesn’t just mean not going, it also means that I wasted my friends vacation time at work - something I’d rather not do .

This means I have to keep on searching keep wishing me luck!

As for an update… no news! I am still very much stuck in the same cycle of reaching out to people but being ghosted as a response !

Hey Guys!

Unfortunately there’s no real news today. I sent out more messages and received more silence. It’s a little exhausting, but I can’t let that get me down…
I’ve been so absent minded on top of everything, I forgot to sign up for a test at university, I’m not sure if it’s the search or the stress that’s been having me so distracted .

I’m choosing to spend the time in which I don’t have a ticket yet with planning the trip and finding people to camp with at the festival. I feel it makes me stay sane … I’m still missing most of my equipment. I can really tell how last minute all of my planning is, but it’ll be a story to remember for sure .

I’m sorry, this is a really late post. I received one of those calls that you’d rather not get and it kind of threw me for a loop . It’s a part of life and I’ll be OK, but you know that feeling when you stub your toe and you just have to sit down for a moment? This is me right now .

That being said, that obviously affected my search. Yesterday, I was basically so absent-minded, I barely even thought about looking for a ticket. So this will also be a very short update.
Unfortunately, there’s no news. For right now I really don’t have a lot more to say.
But tomorrow I’ll probably have a nicer update.

Good evening guys,

Day 12 was just as uneventful as the past few days. If I’m honest, I’m still a little out of it because of what I told you yesterday. I really haven’t been able to focus on my search and it’s frustrating me a little bit. But I did find a few bits of information that helped me manage ‍.

I saw someone on Reddit talk about how they weren’t able to get rid of their ticket before fusion last year and that anyone who wants to take it will definitely find one. That gave me a lot of hope. Though I did feel bad for them not being able to resell their ticket last year .

That being said, I feel like it’s gonna be a really close call for me.
That really is all for today though.
Let’s hope that my prayers to the ticket gods will be answered tomorrow?

It is less than 2 weeks until Fusion… are you guys excited yet? I know I am!
In the past few days so many things happened, yet I still try to keep my main focus on Fusion. I’m not sure if that’s the wisest decision I’ve ever made but well… YOLO !

I actually had to sign up for my tests this semester too, I’ll try and study as much as I can in the next 12 days because I know I won’t at Fusion . We’ll see how that goes.

That being said, in regards to making it there… there’s no news!
I’m still going through the same cycles as every day, checking the forum, telegram, Reddit… literally anywhere! I’ve even tried through Instagram. I’m sure you can see my desperation by now ! But good things come to those who wait. So wait is what I’ll do.

I’m leaving for the summer house tomorrow because of kitchen renovation. Usually, I’ll bring my tobacco, have a beer and a cigarette every other day, summer house vibe, but I decided to not bring the tobacco, and instead spend the next two weeks working out, playing, fasting, drinking plenty of water and eating healthy

I suggest a new, but old, dimension to your ticket search. I remember you telling me that you were reading the other subforums about anything other than tickets, contributing and spreading your karma. I suggest you go back to doing that again

Good Afternoon everyone,

I wasn't able to post an update yesterday, I was at work all day and had a DJ gig after, by the time I got home it was way past midnight and I had to get up early today to go to work again . So I really didn't find the time. That means, today is gonna be a double update !

The past 2 days have been uneventful Ticket-wise but that does not mean they weren't interesting!
Thursday I was basically down all day. What I didn't know then, but do know now, is that I was having a migraine - one of the bad ones too. I tried to push through, but could barely look at screens, let alone feed myself. How I didn't realize it was a migraine? Beats me .

Thursday was not just pain and suffering though (lol), one of the people reading this blog actually sent me a message and offered encouragement! That honestly made my day!
I'm sure you guys feel it too, the Ticket-Search feels so lonely sometimes. Between countless forum posts filled with emojis, someone typing "up" or just copy and pasting the same message over and over again, you start feeling like you're the only human - that you are the only being made from flesh on this search . It sounds ridiculous, but have you heard of the "dead internet theory"? The forum reminds me of that a lot.
Hearing from someone else that's currently searching and going through the same struggles made me feel a lot less lonely. And they said the same thing - reading my posts made them feel less lonely. It gave me a sense of purpose on this search . Not only am I looking for a ticket, but I can also inspire others while doing so. That was truly amazing to realize .

Yesterday, I still had a mirgraine (which I still hadn't realized at the time). I went to work and tried my best to watch the forums closely. As I'm watching the forum I get an adrenaline rush - someone had just posted a ticket! I rushed to send a message, in less than 5 minutes the post was already flooded by people looking for a ticket. I tried regardless, with a more personalized message, not just copy & paste. After I commented, I looked at the post again. All of a sudden a post offering a Ticket had been changed to a post looking for one. Offering the Ticket was simply a tactic to get people to engage with it . It was frustrating. I edited my comment to say "Nevermind, someone must have changed their mind.", but Nevermind was not the right wording here. I DID mind, so many people got their hopes up. In the end, the poster just edited the post to only say ".". I'm assuming they must've gotten a bunch of messages, why they did that is still beyond me though ...

I also took Tonys advice and tried to be less of a stranger on the forums again. I posted a question, which I was super nervous about. I asked about karaoke at the festival. Karaoke is my favorite thing to do. I received some help and will definitely look for karaoke spots when I make it to Fusion! Who will come sing with me ???

Other than that I ended up rushing to my DJ gig after work. That's when I finally realized I was having a migraine since thursday. The lights there made it so much worse. But I powered through and had a great night regardless! I played 80s and 90s music, not my usual, but I can adapt .
