This is so weird. I just did select a single message from the list for deletion, and also deleted a message from "inside", and both methods worked for me... Also login works fine (except that I always have to login, I guess that's due to either the forum software not using cookies or some browser setting on my side to disable cookies)

Indeed. And I sent a PM from here to my other account, received it, and was able to delete it in the OTHER account, but NOT in the Outbox here. There MUST be some bug, for some reason, nah?

And re: your logging in, there's a box to check if you want to stay logged in, before hitting Enter. Do you check it? ;)

Oh... Yes, this clearly sounds like a server-side bug now. Interesting.

Did you try logging in with your second account in another browser? If this works as expected, there seems to be something strange with the irrelevant account.

Hmm... only thing I could think of to try fixing it would be to change the password of your account. But that's just a guess since login functionality also seems to be affected, and an authentication problem could somewhat explain that a check if you have the right to delete a PN fails.

 Yes, I did the first few times, but now I don't bother anymore since I know that it has no effect. The session ID is part of the URL for me instead of a cookie.

Side note: my dude, you REALLY shouldn't use these systems anymore as they are both (but especially XP) very, very insecure nowadays!

I actually repaired my XP not long ago, and was told it's the fastest to start (with an SSD disk) and most stable out of all of the OS, by the shop repair man. They still have one of those machines themselves, for internal use ...

As I also explained earlier, for various reasons, I need to keep especially my XP machine as is. But thanks for the concern.:)

 Looks like you got your own litle bug then ... very odd as well. Update on my side is that I finally was able to log in on my other account via Brave. So tomorrow I'm going to try again, from Brave, to log in to this one, and see if I can delete anything. Seeing there was a difference between the accounts' functionality in Chrome, the odds are low though.

Yeah, looks like we both have our personal bugs :D Well, maybe old software sometimes isn't well-tested, but just old.

Good luck with brave, but I agree that it probably won't change anything.

I mean it is possible, but unless you are an expert yourself, you are exposing yourself to numerous security risks unnecessarily - that is if it is connected to the internet (which I guess it is). Just a side note though :)
