Car lines on the first day (Wednesday)

I would like to come with a car to the festival and was wondering if in previous years there were any major lines in the car entrance? If I'll know that I'll have to wait for a long long time then i might give up coming with a car. Thanks

Last year it was extreme, a 5-7 hour traffic jam just to get to the campsite.

I recommend Bassliner.org the buses go directly to the site and past all the traffic jams around the festival.

Another tip: don't arrive before 8am on Wednesday, it leads to chaos and trouble. The gates are still closed.

Not true anymore, gates open at 7am

Make sure to drive clean, because there are very strict police controls both ways from Wednesday morning on for 6 days ...
