Viele die Tesla fahren tun dies, um sich von der klimavernichtenden Erdöl-Industrie zu verabschieden
Steile These.
Discuss!
Maybe I'm prejudiced, but to that, I'd like to add that my impression is the above + that it's a fancy and flashy and "in" way of making believe (perhaps also to themselves) that they care about the climate and environment. As I pointed out before, Tesla is hardly the only electric car that exists. Come on, let's be real, it's a status symbol within the "eco" department just as much as say, a BMW, or any fossil fuel driven car is in that department.
Too, my personal opinion is that all this crap mostly is done to keep running "business as usual". I don't believe for a second electrical cars are so much better than regular ones, in regard to what it takes to build and service them, not to mention f ex the rubber particles from the tyres going into the air I assume are the exact same? IMHO we need to get away from this notion of constant expansion and growth, and realize that we are, and for a long time have been, using more resources than we can afford, basically.
The road to take I think should be downsizing, pooling together, etc. To me, most of this so called "green economy" is simply greenwashing. As so much in sports is sportswashing, and in politics is whitewashing. It's all mostly the same BS as it's always been. As such, I think it's really important to look beyond what's presented all glossy and cool -- and take a good hard look at what's behind the scenes. Also when it comes to f ex solar panels, wind turbines, and whatnot.
With that said, ofc damaging property, or harming people, generally ALSO is wrong. That goes without saying, at least in my world.
Whoops, didn't mean to digress this far, but ... for what it's worth.
It's not about making the world a better place; it's about making ourselves better persons. The rest comes naturally.
